RESIDENCIES

Artist-in-residence programmes have given me the opportunity to live and work in different  environments, providing me with time to reflect, research, and produce work, sometimes prolific!

During a residency, you are able to explore locations you would never have even contemplated, experience different cultures, meet like minded creative people and experiment with different materials. I have been fortunate to have made some lifelong connections, learnt valuable techniques and have produced collections of work that still today, influences my art practice.

Applying for a residency can sometimes seem daunting – stepping into the unknown, but even today, I continue to search for ‘the’ place that will challenge and inspire me to paint.
